Reconstruct your day silently

The Niranjan Index

A tool to improve the quality of your day.

What it measures

Not what you did.
How you did it.

Yoga is incomplete if you do not observe the first yama of yogic life behaviour. This reads your Manah Prasad, the peace of your mind across a day.

Before sleep

You turn your phone,
and mark each part of your day.

Your day is split into parts, from when you wake to when you sleep. Drag each part up if it felt good, or down if it felt hard. It takes less than a minute.

a day, set in parts good okay hard early morning late morning after lunch afternoon evening night

Prasāda
the serenity, the height of the day
41
Samatva
its evenness, how steady it stayed

The Index follows your Prasāda, the serenity of the day. Your Samatva, its steadiness, sits beside it. It is never averaged in. Steadiness must not lift a hard day.

The weighting

It remembers a day
the way you do.

It weights how the day ended, and its lowest point. A steady, light day scores higher than a jagged one, even one that climbed higher.

Yours alone

Never shown.
Never compared.

Over weeks of reviewing your day, you grow aware of yourself. What stirs your anger, who stirs your envy. Slowly, you steady. And that is what matters, isn't it?
